Overview

This is an institution established under the Workmen’s Compensation Ordinance No.19 of 1934 to provide the payment of compensation to workmen who meet with accidents in the course of their employment. The main function of the Commissioner for Compensation who is vested with both civil and magisterial powers is to administer the Workmen’s Compensation Ordinance No.19 of 1934 (as amended later). The objective of the said ordinance is to cause the employer to pay compensation, to workmen, if personal injury is caused to him or her by an accident arising out of and in the course of his or her employment or where death results from such injury to his or her dependants.

Vision

Creating employee satisfaction by making employers to pay compensation speedily for employees in the event of injury or death.

Mission

Initiating court proceedings and offering instructions to make employers to pay prescribed compensation for workmen and their dependents in the event of injury, death or disease whilst being employed
